The

| Medium
Formats |
There
are a range of medium format cameras that use roll film known as 120.
The most popular formats are 6x4.5cm (known as 645), 6x6cm (2 1/4
inch square) and 6x7cm. Depending on the camera, you get a different
number of frames per roll, ranging from 10 to 15. Medium format cameras
offers a considerably larger negative ot transperency than 35mm, an
important consideration if very large prints are required. |

| Panoramic |
Available
in 35mm and medium format. A true panoramic camera has a format ratio
of 1:3 (ie the film is three times as wide as it high) Two 35mm frames
side by side would be panoramic. In medium format a 6x12cm panoramic
camera give six frames per roll. a 6x17cm panoramic camera produces
only four frames per roll, that are almost three times as wide as
they are high. |
